Icebreaker breaks

Gold Torch Writer

Central State University cancelled the annual Icebreaker dance Jan. 12, 2019, due to a snow storm.

“We were aware of the possibility of inclement weather that Friday night around 8 p.m., but weren’t aware of the cancellation until the official word was released,” said Cory Britton, chairman if the Campus Activities Board.

Britton promised that the univesity will reschedule the event later in spring term. Students are still waiting. “The administration needs to either announce a new date or refund the (ticket) money as soon as possible for the students who paid,” student RaMir Williams said.

Students paid $5 for tickets to the dance in Beacom Lewis Gymnasium, which is one of the more popular activities winter term.
