Career Fair March 11

Updated: Mar 4, 2020

It’s that time of year again. The Spring 2020 Career Fair is just weeks away. Central State

students will soon have the opportunity to meet employers from throughout the region.

“It’s a huge networking event for students,” Senior Asia Jackson said.

The Career Fair gives students a chance to land a job or an internship. Dozens of employers will attend the event, including the Centerville City School District, Dayton Children's Hospital, and Kroger. The fair will also host a number of graduate schools. The full list of this year’s participants can be found on the Handshake app.

“We send out invitations to companies who have previously attended the Career Fair. We also have companies reach out to us to recruit students,” Career Service Director Karla Harper said. “Our doors are always open for employers.”

Some students feel as though their major is poorly represented at the fair. “The thing I like the least about the Career Fair is that there seems to not be a lot of jobs in the communications field,” Senior Markia Durr said.

The Career Fair will take place on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, in the University Student Center from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Students are required to wear professional attire. Students can register for the event on the Handshake app or on-site the day of the fair. For more information contact the Office of Career Services at careerservices@centralstate.edu.

“I like when I hear the students are getting connected,” Harper said.
